Booking & Confirmation

How will I receive my booking confirmation?

Once your booking is confirmed, we will send a detailed confirmation via WhatsApp.

This includes:

  • Trip dates & timings
  • Vehicle details & Registration number
  • Detailed Fare breakdown
  • Pending payment details
  • Delivery executive contact information
How much advance is required for booking?

An advance of ₹1000 per day is required to confirm your booking.

The remaining amount must be paid at the time of pickup before the trip starts.

What is the minimum and maximum rental duration?

Minimum: 5 hours

Maximum: No limit (you can book for weeks or months as needed).

Documents & Verification

Is it mandatory to provide a driving license?

YES, customers must hand over their ORIGINAL driving license at the time of pickup.

The license will be safely held by our executive and returned when you return the vehicle.

What happens if I don’t have my driving license on the trip day?

The booking will be treated as cancelled, and no refund will be provided.

Original DL is mandatory for insurance compliance and legal verification. Photocopies or digital copies in isolation are not accepted.

Who should come to pick up the car?

The person who made the booking must personally come for pickup.

NO EXCEPTIONS: The car will not be handed over to friends, family, or any other third party on your behalf.

What other documents do I need?

In addition to a valid original driving license, you'll need:

  • Aadhar Card (or other government ID)
  • Complete document verification through your profile on our website

Payments & Packages

When should I complete the payment?

All pending payments must be cleared before the trip starts.

The vehicle will not be handed over until the full booking amount is settled.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept a wide range of payment methods for your convenience:

  • UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm)
  • Credit Card / Debit Card
  • Bank Transfer (IMPS/NEFT)
  • Online Portal Payments
Do you offer different rental packages?

Yes, we offer multiple packages with different kilometer limits to suit your travel distance.

Once a package is selected, it cannot be changed after booking. Choose carefully!

Delivery & Policies

Do you provide doorstep delivery?

Yes, we offer doorstep delivery and pickup services in Tirunelveli.

NOTE: This is a chargeable service. Please contact our support team for current delivery pricing.

What happens in case of vehicle damage?

Customers are responsible for:

  • Actual Repair Costs
  • Idle Charges: Compensation for the days the vehicle is in garage.

IMPORTANT: Vehicle documents will be held until all damage-related charges are cleared.

What is the fuel policy?

We follow a "Full to Full" fuel policy.

We provide the car with a full tank of fuel. You must return the car with a full tank. If not returned full, refueling charges + service fees will apply.

What happens if I fail to meet booking requirements?

If mandatory conditions (like original driving license or correct person for pickup) are not met:

  • The booking will be cancelled
  • No refund will be issued

Do I need to pay any security deposit?

Yes, there is a refundable security deposit required for all bookings. The deposit amount varies by vehicle type and is clearly displayed during booking. It's refunded after safe return of the vehicle.

What types of cars are available for rent?

RR Self Drive Cars offers a diverse fleet including hatchbacks, sedans, SUVs, and luxury vehicles. We have both manual and automatic transmission options across different seating capacities.

Are automatic cars available for rent?

Yes, we have automatic transmission vehicles available across all categories including hatchbacks, sedans, and SUVs for a comfortable driving experience.

Do you offer monthly car rental packages?

What if I return the car late?

Late returns are charged at our standard hourly rate plus an additional fee of ₹300 per hour of delay. We recommend planning your return time accordingly to avoid extra charges.

Do you provide 24/7 roadside assistance?

Yes, RR Self Drive Cars provides 24/7 roadside assistance for all our rental vehicles. In case of breakdown or emergency, our support team is just a phone call away.

Can I cancel my booking? What's the cancellation policy?

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before booking start receive a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours or after booking starts are non-refundable.
